An agreement on the cap on oil prices from Russia could be reached by December of this year, US Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo said. He made the relevant statement at the Aspen Forum event, reports DEA News”.
According to him, the European Union expects to block insurance of tankers with Russian oil by December.
“Our goal is to make sure we’re in a position to add a price cap to this,” said the division vice president.
He pointed out that the US is confident that both oil prices will fall in world markets and that the measures taken will allow Russian energy resources to flow there.
