The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said it had seized Belarusian locomotives that Russia allegedly used to transport personnel and weapons. This is stated on the department’s Telegram channel.
“According to the materials of the SBU, Belarusian locomotives were arrested,” the message says.
The approximate value of the confiscated property is more than UAH 70 million. ($2.3 million), according to the intelligence service.
“According to the investigation, the locomotives were used to transport personnel, weapons, military equipment and logistics equipment to the northern borders of Ukraine,” the SBU said.
They added that the locomotives are located in the Kyiv region.

The department stressed that at the initiative of the SBU, assets of 2.1 billion hryvnia (about $ 61 million at the rate of the National Bank of Ukraine) of Ukrainian companies were arrested. According to the statement, they belong to Gazprom, Rosneft and Rosatom.
