The Kremlin does not consider that Russia has the opportunity to contact Ukraine on the issue of removing the blockade of oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline, this was stated by the press secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov during a briefing.

“The situation is a big crisis for our buyers, but it does not depend on us,” Peskov added.

Prior to this, Hungary and Slovakia had stopped importing Russian oil through the Druzhba oil pipeline due to restrictions imposed by Ukraine. In June, Kiev tightened sanctions against Lukoil, as a result of which the Russian company effectively lost the right to use Ukrainian territory for the transportation of oil to other states.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó recordedHe said that his country and the Russian Federation are working to resume supplies of Russian oil to the republic’s territory.

The Druzhba oil pipeline is the world’s largest oil trunk pipeline system. It was built in the 1960s by USSR companies to supply oil to Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland and East Germany.
