The Yandex team has released an update for its Neuro service, which uses neural networks to provide a single answer to user questions using data from the Internet, the company’s press service reports.
With the update of the YandexGPT 3 family model, the service began to understand user requests more accurately and respond more specifically and meaningfully.
“As a result, the number of times Neuro offered general information on a topic instead of a direct answer was halved. At the same time, the service began using data from a wider range of sources to prepare answers, which helped make texts more informative. The number of answers that referred to a small number of materials in the message decreased by 2.5 times.
The company’s experts have also added the voice questioning feature to the service. It is stated that one in five users who leave feedback with ideas for improving Neuro wants such a function. To use the new feature, you need to click on the microphone icon in the service’s search bar and ask a question.
The service has also been adapted for screen readers, which speak interface elements, text, and what’s happening on the screen. Yandex says this solution will make the service more useful for visually impaired people.
Let us remind you that Neuro, with the help of neural networks, gives a concise answer to the question using the information available on the Internet. The service searches for the necessary sites in the search results, analyzes them and combines the information into a single answer, which always contains links to the resources.
