Participants at the annual general meeting of Sber shareholders approved the payment of a record dividend in the bank’s history in the amount of 752 billion rubles, which is 33.3 rubles per share. This was reported by the bank’s press service.

Half of the funds (about 376 billion rubles) will go to the Russian budget.

Shareholders also elected a new 14-person composition of the Supervisory Board. Half of them are independent directors.

This year, Sber summarized the results at the general meeting of shareholders by presenting a documentary film about the bank’s projects and the Russians participating in them.

The film tells how and why Sber became an integral part of the life of the country’s inhabitants.

The mini-novels tell the stories of people whose dreams the bank helps realize.

One of the stories is about a weaving factory opened thanks to the cooperation with Sber. This is the first full-cycle textile plant with 100 percent import substitution since the USSR era.

“Sber is the only bank that believes in our project,” said plant manager Nadezhda Averina. She explained that she applied for a loan to 15 financial institutions and only Sber approved it.

According to Sberbank Chairman German Gref, at the basis of any asset growth of an enterprise or company is the need to re-equip production and create new capacities.

“And of course this is the basis for the growth of our corporate portfolio. And we see that this will continue in the coming years. Our role in this process is not limited to just giving loans. We try to help our customers develop their business, increase efficiency, manage their business and create all the conditions for rapid growth of their business,” says the company president in the film.

Another story tells about Sber’s support for the WinePark winery in Crimea.

German Gref notes that there is now a boom in agriculture in Crimea: wineries and first-class cheese factories are developing.

In the film, the president of Sberbank also talks about the tourism boom in Russia.

“Finally, our people turned to their own beautiful resorts. Our greatest pride is our Mriya resort in Crimea, which has been developing for 10 years. “Over the years of his work, he has received many awards from the hotel industry worldwide and in Russia,” said the Sberbank chairman.
