Italian authorities plan to provide Ukraine with another financial aid package totaling €140 million (about 13 billion rubles at the current exchange rate). This was stated by the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani. Reuters.

According to him, such a step was approved by the Italian government in Rome. The minister announced that the funds received will be used to support the country’s air defense in Kiev.

Also at the international conference on the restoration of Ukraine held in Berlin, Tajani added that the use of air defense is the main strategy in the restoration of Ukraine.

The head of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that in this way the protection of Ukraine’s infrastructure can be ensured.

“In this context, Italy is ready to send a new military aid package to Kiev to ensure the air defense operation,” he said.

Tajani at the end of May spoke Against Ukraine’s attack on internationally recognized Russian territory with weapons from Italy.

The minister explained that the Italian constitution directly prevents such actions. He added that Rome was ready to help Kiev only “to defend itself and stop Russia’s aggression.”
