“Main season will be in June, prices will vary. “The exchange rate is strengthening, so there should not be a negative impact on import prices,” Lut said.
Before reportedthat today you can buy a kilogram of strawberries for an average of 588 rubles. This is 20% more expensive than May last year. In Moscow, fruit prices are even higher – 651 rubles per 1 kg. However, it turned out that the increase in strawberry prices in the capital compared to last year was slightly less – by 12%.
Compared to April, the average cost of fruits decreased by 9%. Last month, a kilogram of strawberries cost an average of 646 rubles. Experts explain that strawberry prices traditionally fall in May, because the first fruit harvest from the south of Russia comes to market at the end of spring.
