Alfa-Bank provided private investors with access to Russian startups by establishing partnerships with solution developers.
According to Ekaterina Solovyova, head of Alfa-Bank’s innovation office, ensuring manufacturability through the introduction of pragmatic innovations is one of the main priorities and vectors of strategic development for Alfa-Bank.
He noted that the bank integrates working with innovations and startups into its standard production process. More than 400 teams submit their ideas to the company.
“Joint discovery has become a routine process. This allows the bank to screen several hundred startups per year, launch more than 30 pilots and scale a third of them,” said Ekaterina Solovyova.
He explained that this year’s innovation rating of banks includes criteria for trend areas of technological development, such as working with neural networks, digital financial assets, the development of mass investment platforms and pre-public offerings.
“This is now extremely relevant and we have a number of important results in these areas,” Solovyova said.
The 20 largest Russian banks participated in the Skolkovo research.
