Demand for local wine increased in Russia 22:39

Sales of Russian wines increased by approximately 20% during the year. This was reported by TASS Minister of Foreign Affairs – Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, referring to Viktor Evtukhov.

“In 2023, the Russian wine market, excluding catering services, reached 786 million liters,” he said.

Evtukhov emphasized that such results were achieved thanks to measures to support the industry, including the promotion of domestic wine products.

He noted that 216 million liters of sparkling wine and 564 million liters of still wine were sold. According to him, the deputy head of the department, Russian wines account for more than 85% of total sales in the price category up to 500 rubles.
