By the end of 2023, government customers increased the volume of purchases of goods and services from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) under Federal Law 44 by 7%. Experts of the Kontur.Torgi project shared these calculations with socialbites.ca.
The total amount of tenders opened by the state for small businesses in 2022 was 1.69 trillion rubles. In 2023, this figure increased to 1.81 trillion rubles (plus 7% annually).
“Costs for government customers on small business purchases have increased for the third year in a row. Kontur.Torgov expert Vasily Danilchik states that the amount of such trade reached 1.81 trillion rubles in 2023, which is 7% more than the previous year.
The growth is seen not only in volumes but also in the number of tenders. The number of trade procedures for SMEs under 44-FZ increased from 1.29 million in 2022 to 1.38 million in 2023.
They began to more actively purchase from small businesses and state companies operating under 223-FZ. During the year, expenditures on such tenders increased by 2.7% to 2.22 trillion rubles. At the same time, the share of procedures specifically disclosed to participants from the SME sector increased from 29% to 32%.
Experts attribute the increase in purchases from small businesses to the government’s policy of supporting this sector. As the number of registered SMEs increased to 6.34 million in 2023, customers began to allocate more funds to suppliers in this category.
