Drones are among the leading goods imported to Ukraine

In January, unmanned aerial vehicles were among the top 10 products imported into Ukraine. This was reported by the Ukrainian Center for Economic Strategy (CES) on its Telegram channel.

The country imported almost as many drones as phones (in monetary terms). $99 million worth of drones were imported in January (2% of all imports). In all of 2023, drone imports amounted to 0.7%, or 441 million dollars.

CES noted that 98% of drones (based on cost) are imported from China. At the same time, phones were imported for $114 million (2.2% of imports); approximately 70% of this figure was from China.

It is emphasized that the share of imports from the European Union has fallen below 50 percent.

The most imported goods to Ukraine were oil and petroleum products. The UAV department ranked 8th.
