In Russia, regulation can keep the increase in prices of drugs on the vital and essential medicines (VED) list at a level below inflation. This was stated by Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection. RIA News.

The list of vital and essential medicines is approved annually by the government of the Russian Federation and includes the most state-important medicines, the prices of which are strictly regulated. According to Rosstat, inflation in Russia was 7.42% at the end of 2023.
