The majority of Russian companies previously structured through foreign holdings will move to Russia in the future. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Finance Alexey Moiseev, speaking at the Promsvyazbank forum. TASS.

“The vast majority of Russian companies that currently structure their ownership through foreign holdings will abandon this and move to Russia in various forms,” he said.

According to Moiseev, special administrative regions (SARs) with a special tax and legal regime on the territory of the Russian Federation have gained great popularity among domestic businesses.

“What did the government actually do when it implemented ATS? It was said: “Okay, you don’t like the Russian regulations. Let it live offshore, but in fact on the territory of the Russian Federation,” explained the deputy minister.

He linked the increase in demand for ATS with the actual loss of functionality of offshore companies in regions hostile to Russia.
