Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the law on increasing pensions for great-grandparents who are guardians of disabled grandchildren. Text The document was published on the official legal information portal.
The law applies to various categories of disabled people: minors, school graduates before the beginning of the next academic year and students studying full-time. According to the document, the latter can be considered disabled for up to 23 years. Additionally, if a child becomes disabled before reaching adulthood, all age restrictions are lifted for him.
Great-grandparents of the above-mentioned citizens who are also their parents will receive additional payments to their old-age or disability insurance pension.
