S&P downgraded Ukraine’s long-term foreign currency credit rating

S&P Global Ratings, an international rating agency that conducts analytical research on financial markets, downgraded Ukraine’s long-term foreign currency credit rating from “CCC” to “CC” with a negative outlook. The press service reports that agencies.

The report states, “We downgraded Ukraine’s long-term rating to ‘SS’.”

At the same time, the country’s short-term foreign currency rating remained at the same “C” level; Its long-term rating in the national currency is currently at “CCC+” (stable outlook) and its short-term rating is at “C” level.

According to the company, the negative outlook on the long-term foreign exchange rating is due to the debt restructuring plan of the Ukrainian government and reflects risks regarding the payment of commercial debt of the Ukrainian republic.

Ukraine’s credit rating was announced in December. abandoned at the “SS” level by the international organization Fitch.

Previously Moody’s downloaded Ukraine’s rating went up to “Ca”.
