As part of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra Days, oil workers and geologists invited visitors not only to look at the oil company’s pavilion, but also to touch the real drilling equipment, as well as pieces of rock coming out of the bowels of the oil well. soil. The exhibition “Touch the Profession” at the Rosneft pavilion allows you to compare two drills: new and after drilling a well, to see what traces are left on the heavy metal leading to oil fields.
Guests of the exhibition can also view rock samples selected during drilling. Including those containing fat or, as professionals say, saturated with fat.
The exhibit included components of hydraulic fracturing equipment and samples of proppant (small balls that trap open cracks in rock formed after hydraulic fracturing, thus allowing oil to enter the well).
Guests were also invited to attend the “Feel Like a Geologist” lecture, where they could learn about the structure of the oil field and mineral exploration methods.
Additionally, visitors to the exhibition can try themselves as geologist by participating in experiments.
Guests of the Rosneft pavilion learned the history of exploration of oil and gas fields in the Ugra. Representatives of the company talked about the largest oil field in Russia, Samotlor.
The pavilion hosts performances by artists; visitors can attend master classes on creating folk toys and quizzes.
Rosneft noted that the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra is Russia’s main oil and gas-bearing region and is one of the largest oil-producing regions in the world.
Rosneft’s share in the region’s oil production is 40%.
The Thematic Days of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra will last until March 10 at the Rosneft pavilion.
