The publication notes that manufacturers have begun increasing the number of products containing peanut butter and caramel instead of chocolate.
The agency states that this is due to the record increase in the cost of cocoa. Market participants do not expect prices of this material to decrease in the near future.
Irina Eldarkhanova, formerly Vice President of the Russian Association of Bakers and Confectioners statedHe said that the increase in cocoa butter prices will affect the increase in chocolate prices, but will not affect all types of chocolate sold in Russia.
