Sber’s cooperation with the Faculty of Law of the Higher School of Economics reaches a new level. This was stated by Igor Kondrashov, Deputy Chairman of Sberbank and Director of the Legal Department, after the signing of an agreement on cooperation between the bank and the Faculty of Law of the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University.
It was noted that the agreement aims to develop the “Law: Digital Lawyer” program, which trains lawyers with digital skills in the field of digital law, as well as organizing internships, master classes and training initiatives. The agreement was signed for the period of implementation of the training program – until December 31, 2028.
It is expected that the cooperation will help train highly qualified specialists and also contribute to the formation of personnel reserves. In addition to educational activities, students will also do internships to work on IT regulatory projects.
According to Kondrashov, training lawyers with digital skills is important not only for the bank but also for Russian jurisprudence. He emphasized that the industry is changing rapidly and lawyers are increasingly using LegalTech and artificial intelligence technologies to increase their skills and productivity.
“Together with the Higher School of Economics, we will continue to develop our joint course with the aim of training unique specialists who have excellent knowledge of legislation and at the same time understand new technologies,” he said.
Sberbank Deputy Chairman emphasized that Russia already feels the lack of such specialists and the demand will increase even more in the future.
Let us also remind you that the “Law: Digital Lawyer” program starts in 2022. Currently, 83 students are studying here. At the same time, according to the agreement, it is planned to increase their number to 500 people.
