The former co-owner of Otkritie Vadim Volfson, who previously bore the surname Belyaev, was arrested in the USA. The news agency reports that Reuters referring to the interdepartmental group KleptoCapture.

According to the agency, the US Department of Justice suspects that Wolfson, who moved to the US, provided services aimed at circumventing anti-Russian sanctions against Russian citizens.

Another person was arrested along with Wolfson; his name was not disclosed. The interdepartmental KleptoCapture group was created in March 2022. Wolfson and a second man were reportedly arrested, according to the group’s report.
