Receipts from exchange rate export taxes from the federal budget of the Russian Federation since the beginning of 2024 have already amounted to approximately 46 billion rubles. This was reported by RIA News Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) Ruslan Davydov.
“Last year we collected about 140 billion rubles. “This year, as of yesterday, approximately 46 billion rubles have come out of these flexible export taxes,” he said.
According to Davydov, such a mandate is not a fiscal measure, but a tool to regulate the market and the ruble exchange rate.
Initially, the Ministry of Economic Development expected that the new tax would bring the treasury 152 billion rubles in 2023 and 604 billion rubles in 2024, but a number of goods, including coal, pharmaceuticals and chemical products, were later removed from the tax. .
Starting from October 1, 2023, export customs duties have been introduced in Russia on a wide range of products, the amount of which depends on the ruble exchange rate. These include products from the mining industry, metallurgy and food products.
