Sources in the Ministry of Transport told the publication that the state system is well protected and monitoring anomalies will make it possible to quickly identify criminals.
According to Kommersant, the ministry has prepared a draft order on a new procedure for creating automatic databases of personal data on passengers and crew.
Data needs to be transmitted not only by air carriers, but also by water, rail and road transport operators for intercity and international traffic. Moscow region with the capital, St. Flights between St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region will be an exception.
All passenger data will be transferred to the unified state transport safety information system (USIS OTB). Its operator is the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Zashchitainfotrans” of the Ministry of Transport. Rostransnadzor, Rosaviatsiya, FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have access to this database. Now this database retrieves passport data, travel date and route.
The new draft order expands this list. Information provided by the passenger is also added: email address (e-mail), contact phone number, account information (username and password), IP address and port number through which information and bank card data are transmitted.
