Russia has the right to appeal the decision of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal in the Yukos case to the Dutch Supreme Court. In this respect TASS said court spokeswoman Melissa Zijlstra.
“Russia can still appeal to the Supreme Court on this issue” [, касающемуся мошенничества]”, – said.
However, Zijlstra added that the verdicts were “finally rejected at an earlier stage of the proceedings” for other reasons.
The day before the Amsterdam Court of Appeal carried out Decision in favor of former shareholders of the Yukos oil company, which is in a long-running dispute with Russia.
In 2014, an arbitration court in The Hague decided to pay approximately $50 billion in compensation to three companies due to the claim that the Russian Federation deliberately bankrupted Yukos. Since then, shareholders in England, the USA and the Netherlands have been trying to implement the court decision and the amount has been increased, taking into account interest.
Previously in the USA denied “YUKOS v. We agree that the RF” case is not subject to jurisdiction.
