Belarusian Ambassador to Moscow Dmitry Krutoy said that Minsk is considering the possibility of participating in the program to build a nuclear fleet in Russia. The diplomat talked about this in an interview with the Belarusian TV channel. ONT.

According to the ambassador, the Northern Sea Route is the most important route for the supply of Belarusian export goods through Russian ports. Therefore, Belarus is considering the possibility of participating in the program for the construction of a nuclear fleet that will enable navigation in the Northern Sea Route in difficult weather conditions.

Krutoy noted that if Minsk has its own fleet, Belarus will no longer be dependent on either Western infrastructure or the infrastructure of unfriendly countries. The diplomat emphasized that Belarus will become the owner of the entire full-fledged infrastructure and will be able to independently regulate the economy of these logistics costs.

The ambassador explained that achieving such a goal is the maximum task. According to Krutoy, this will be achieved in the next two to three years.
