Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexey Erkhov urged Russians “not to tempt fate” when traveling to the country and to purchase at least the simplest insurance in advance. He expressed this advice in an interview RIA News.
The diplomat listed many cases where Russians came to Turkey without insurance, found themselves in unexpected situations and were hospitalized.
“The medical bill that relatives have to pay is literally astronomical and increasing day by day. Is it really worth tempting fate like this?” – said Erkhov.
The ambassador also recommended that Russians respect the laws of a foreign country and its inhabitants and monitor their children more closely when traveling.
