According to the agency, 1.1 million citizens of the Russian Federation were declared bankrupt during the period when the bankruptcy procedure was ongoing. It is stated that the program has been in effect since October 2015.
It is stated that the bankruptcy recognition increase rate has been decreasing for the third year in a row. The number of bankruptcies increased by 62% in 2021 compared to the previous year. At the same time, in 2022 the increase was 44.2%, and in 2023 it was 26.2%.
It was reported that 96.6 percent of bankruptcy cases were filed by citizens in 2023. At the same time, the share of bankruptcy creditors as applicants is 3.1%, and the share of the Federal Tax Service is 0.4%.
