Residents of Moscow and the Moscow region received loans of more than 3 trillion rubles

In 2023, banks in the Moscow region issued 3.8 trillion rubles of consumer loans, which is 20.5% more than in 2022. These statistics were provided to socialbites.ca by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Central Federal District of the Central Bank.

Last year, 2.3 trillion rubles of consumer loans were issued in Moscow (+13.5% on an annual basis) and 1.4 trillion rubles in the Moscow region (+33.8% on an annual basis).

In December last year, banks provided consumer loans worth 334.8 billion rubles to borrowers in the Moscow region. This is 7.7% more than the December 2022 value.

In December, Moscow residents received loans worth 212.4 billion rubles (+4.8% on an annual basis), while the Moscow region received loans worth 122.4 billion rubles (+13.2% on an annual basis).

Compared with November, the volume of consumer loans issued in the Moscow region in December decreased by 1.8%, due to which the indicator in the Moscow region decreased by 12.7%. In Moscow it grew by 5.9%.

In December, the weighted average rate of consumer loans for all maturities in the Moscow region increased by 2.6 points to 18.8%. In Moscow, this rate was 18.6% (plus 3.4 points), and in the capital it was 19.1% (plus 1.6 points).
