Qatar’s state-owned oil and gas company, QatarEnergy, has confirmed there are delays in the delivery of some liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments. The agency reports that “Hit the primer”citing a company statement.
This was due to the insecure situation in the Red Sea region. This is stated in a company statement obtained by RIA Novosti.
Reuters had previously reported that QatarEnergy suspended LNG transportation through the Red Sea to assess security risks.
The company noted that some supplies went through alternative routes due to the events in the region. This may affect the delivery schedule. However, QatarEnergy has assured the company’s customers that LNG supplies will remain stable. Deliveries are checked jointly with buyers.
