The Ministry of Agriculture will make every effort to ensure that dairy products in the country remain affordable. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev at the 25th congress of the National Union of Milk Producers. RIA News.
Speaking at the congress, Patrushev asked people to follow the dynamics and avoid sudden price increases. According to him, otherwise the ministry will have to take unwelcome measures to regulate the market.
The Minister reminded that milk purchase prices dropped last year due to excessive production and that the Ministry of Agriculture expanded the export opportunities of dairy products. This made it possible to stabilize the domestic market and adjust retail prices.
According to Rosstat, since the beginning of 2023, drinking milk prices in Russia have increased by about 0.5-0.6%. Overall, price growth last year was around 0.5%.
