Vice-Chancellor, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Union 90/Green Party, Robert Habeck, said that the German economy was not receiving sufficient funds due to the aid provided to Ukraine. This was reported by RIA News Regarding Habaek’s speech to MPs.
“We provide military and economic support to Ukraine and the European countries that continue to support Ukraine. So we’re spending money, and it’s no longer there and it’s not flowing into our economy,” Habeck said.
The German government plans to spend more than 7 billion euros in support of Ukraine (including military support) in 2024.
