The Russian Federation has lifted restrictions on the import of livestock products from Kazakhstan since January 15. In this respect reported Press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
As stated in the Ministry, the relevant decision was taken based on the results of the agreements reached during the meetings held in December between the Ministers of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and Russia Aidarbek Saparov and Dmitry Patrushev. Speaking to the press service, Saparov noted that this is an important step for the agricultural industries of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation and helps strengthen trade and economic ties between the two countries.
The Ministry reminded that in January 2022, imports of Kazakh products to the Russian Federation were limited due to veterinary problems in some regions of Kazakhstan.
Pointing out that the work is continuing, the Ministry said, “After a 2-year break, the market is opened to suppliers of livestock products obtained from the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan that have official vaccine-free status of the World Organization for Animal Health.” the remaining regions of the republic.
The Ministry announced that Kazakh beef, lamb, pork, milk, dairy products and meat products can be exported to the Russian Federation.
Before that, trade volumes between Russia and Kazakhstan augmented is against sanctions.
