The press service of the Russian Social Fund announced that from January, insurance pensions of non-working retirees will be indexed by 7.5%. Indexation will affect more than 27 million old-age pension recipients, whose benefits will increase by an average of 1.6 thousand rubles per month.
According to the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, in total it is planned to allocate more than 10 trillion rubles for pension payments in 2024.
The Ministry noted that the minimum wage will reach 19 thousand 242 rubles after being increased by 18.5 percent as of January 1, 2024. In this way, the wages of 4.8 million workers will increase. For these purposes, 75.9 billion rubles will be allocated from the budget and 47.4 billion rubles from the extra-budgetary sector.
