Gazprom plans to invest a record amount in the program of gasification and additional gasification of regions in 2024 – 270 billion rubles. TASS writes that the company’s president, Alexey Miller, stated this at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin.
Alexey Miller promised that the country will fully complete gasification by 2030.
“Next year we plan to increase the pace of work on gasification and additional gasification of the country. We allocated a record amount of 270.3 billion rubles. “This is 33.5 billion rubles more than this year,” he said.
According to plans, the gasification level should reach 89% of the total network gasification potential by January 1, 2024. Gazprom completed 50% more work this year compared to 2022 as part of the post-gasification program. The company carried out gasification work in 400 settlements in 2023 and built 2.9 thousand kilometers of natural gas pipeline.
Citizens during a direct telephone conversation with President Vladimir Putin asked Supplying gas to the village of Elpatyevo in the Yaroslavl region. The president promised to “definitely watch.” However, the regional government later reported that only 11 people live in Elpatyevo, so the village is not included in the 2022-2031 gasification program.
Previously European Commission announced about plans to abandon Russian gas by the end of the decade.
