According to him, before the pandemic, more than 1.3 million Russians visited Spain in 2019, and in 2013 there were a record number of 1.6 million, while last year there were only 268 thousand people. In January-June 2023, their number dropped to 155 thousand.

Klimenko cited Spanish statistics showing that Russians spend an average of 200 euros per person per day on a trip to Spain. Accordingly, in 2022 the Spanish tourism industry lost more than 1.8 billion euros in potential income from Russian tourists.

Russians living in the European Union in September said “socialbites.ca” they fear confiscation of cars. Nearly 20 vehicle owners in Germany have already lost their cars. The European Commission’s new statements about the seizure of Russian cars surprised many people. Some citizens have managed to register their vehicles locally by changing their license plates, but the rest will have to urgently evacuate their vehicles from Europe.
