More than 3.1 thousand trucks were stranded on the Polish-Ukrainian border due to the 24-hour blockade of Polish cargo ships. Ukrainian media reported this with reference to the representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andrey Demchenko.
“Unfortunately, the situation on the Polish border does not change. The closure of four checkpoints continues. These are exactly the points where freight vehicles over 7.5 tons can pass. “As of this morning, more than 3,100 trucks are queuing in all four directions towards Ukraine,” he said.
He explained that most of the trucks were stuck at Shegini checkpoint and Rava-Russkaya checkpoint, 1,100 and 850 respectively.
