Ukraine added a Belgian company to its list of “war sponsors”

Belgian gas system operator Fluxys was included in the list of “international war sponsors” by Ukraine for its continued work with Russia. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) of Ukraine.

NAPC said in a statement that Fluxys facilitated the export of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG), which funds the Russian military.

The operator, as stated in the NAPC, supplies its facilities to the Yamal LNG company, which is majority-owned by the Russian gas company Novatek, which supplies liquefied natural gas to international markets.

According to the agency, Fluxy’s services help Russia fill its budget by 800 million euros in 2023.

It was stated that although some companies stopped interacting with Russia after February 24, 2022, Fluxys continued its cooperation with Yamal LNG and Novatek throughout 2022 and 2023.
