Criminal cases have been opened in Russia for mass counterfeiting of Puma, Adidas, Reebok and New Balance sneakers. This was reported by RBC.

According to the publication, warehouses with fake shoes, totaling about 640 thousand pairs, were discovered in the Vladimir region by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB.

It was noted that there were approximately 40 thousand pairs of New Balance and Puma, as well as approximately 100 thousand pairs of Adidas, Ecco, Nike and Reebok shoes in the production workshop in Vashutino village. After meeting with employees of Cross LLC, the owner of the facility, law enforcement officers went to the city of Lakinsk, Vladimir Region. About half a million more pairs of shoes were found there in warehouses rented by companies. A few days later the warehouses were empty.

Cross LLC confirmed to the publication that a criminal case has been initiated.

Before that, Alexander Vurasko, specialist in the Solar AURA external digital threat monitoring center at the Solar Group of Companies warned About the dangers of fake websites.
