Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that increases pensions of military personnel by 4.5 percent in 2024. The relevant document has been officially published portal legal information.

Payments will increase starting October 1, 2024. Previously, the law provided that monetary allowances would be taken into account at 54% when calculating military pensions. However, the amendments repeal this provision. According to them, starting from January 1, 2024, 85.47 percent of the monetary allowance will be taken into account, and from October 1, 2024, it will increase to 89.32 percent. This will ultimately help increase the average size of military pensions by 4.5%, the document states.

Also Vladimir Putin signed The law that sets the minimum wage (MROT) in Russia in 2024 at the level of 19,242 rubles per month. The monthly minimum wage in 2023 is 16,242 rubles. Next year it will increase by three thousand rubles, or 18.5%.
