On November 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that will increase the amount of fixed payments to the country’s old-age and disability insurance pension in 2024. The document was published on the official site internet portalreserved for legal information.
According to the text of the law, the amount of this payment should increase to 8,134.9 rubles as of January 1, 2024. Currently this figure is 7,915.4 rubles, as stated in the document.
Additionally, the head of state ordered to increase the cost of a pension coefficient. The corresponding value specified in the law will increase from 129.5 rubles to 133.1 rubles.
At the same time, the text of the document emphasizes that the main purpose of this law is to increase the level of pensions for residents of the country. This level should not be lower than the inflation rate recorded in the state.
On the same day, the Russian leader signed Federal Budget Law of 2024 and the planning period from 2025 to 2026. The document states that next year the income and expenses of the Russian Federation should be 35.065 trillion rubles and 36.66 trillion rubles, respectively.
