The Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Mikhail Degtyarev said in an interview: TASS“Everything goes according to plan” with the production of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft against the background of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
According to him, by the end of the year it is planned to “completely import” part of the fuselage and part of the aircraft’s avionics.
“We expect the PD-8 engine in 2023. We only trust drivers. They always delayed the release of the aircraft. It was the same for Americans, British, French and Soviet designers. And in this we follow tradition, ”said Degtyarev.
He also explained that he was an aircraft engine engineer with “basic training” and that he understood what he was talking about.
“We hope to be able to assemble 20-40 aircraft per year from 2024. How are we going to cook the pastries?” said the governor hopefully.
Denis Manturov, Former Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia saidHe said the version of the Russian PD-8-engined Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft could receive a certificate by the end of 2023.
