Russia and Venezuela plan to restore oil production to the previous day’s level and then increase it. This was stated by RIA News Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil Pinto.
According to him, joint oil production in Venezuela in recent years has reached 120-150 thousand barrels per day. Gil Pinto noted that Western restrictions had a strong impact on the extraction of raw materials.
“Our goal at the first stage is to restore the level that we had with the Rosneft company just a few years ago,” the head of the foreign ministry said.
He explained that the Commission has an agreement on the resumption of negotiations and the participation of Russian companies in joint ventures under the PDVSA agreement.
The Minister noted that once the production level is restored, they will try to increase it “at least twice”.
