The European Commission also emphasized that the European Union is determined to “make Russia pay for the damage it has caused to Ukraine.”

Before recognized, the part of the real estate belonging to Russia in the Czech Republic was sealed. The freezing of state property of the Russian Federation was a result of the inclusion of a company managing Russian real estate abroad in the national sanctions list of the Czech Republic. The country’s government approved this decision the day before. The list includes approximately 70 properties in Prague, Central Bohemia and Karlovy Vary.
