The two imported Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft are expected to be delivered to Russian airlines before the end of 2023, and the other 20 aircraft are expected to be delivered in 2024. Yuri Slyusar, president of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), told reporters about this. TASS.
“According to our schedule, two aircraft were supposed to be delivered this year and twenty aircraft next year. We just outlined the 2024 program,” Slyusar said.
He stated that this was because the PD-8 engine test program was “a little longer than planned”.
According to him, they initially expected to receive certification by the end of this year, but “this has been postponed until next year.” The head of the UAC emphasized that the PD-8 engine is new, so the test program requires effort.
He added that UAC, together with the carriers, is considering the option of pre-operating the SJ-100 as part of a mixed crew so that it can begin to familiarize itself with the aircraft, train it and learn to fly it.
