Americans are becoming increasingly skeptical about large-scale United States financial assistance to Ukraine. This was reported by Finance Times With reference to the latest sociological research.
According to a Gallup poll, 41 percent of Americans now believe their country is doing “too much” effort to support Ukraine. Only 29% of those surveyed in June shared this perspective.
At the same time, the percentage of Americans who believe the United States provided “inadequate support” to Ukraine fell from 28 percent in June to 25 percent in October. These data show that public opinion in the United States is shifting towards decreasing support for Kiev’s finances as the conflict drags on.
The White House also insists on allocating $60 billion to Ukraine as part of the new aid package. But Republicans in Congress do not support such large-scale financing. Growing skepticism about America’s aid to Ukraine is complicating Biden’s efforts to implement the new tranches. Some senators say this could affect the volume of further support to Kiev.
