Germany’s Wintershall Dea is in talks with its partners in joint ventures in the Russian Federation and is working on further sales, the company’s president, Mario Mehren, said. This was reported by RIA News.

According to the head of the organization, there are currently difficulties in selling a business in the Russian Federation and it is difficult to give an exact date on the exit from the Russian market.

Meren also explained that leaving Russia was a clear decision by Wintershall’s management.

Currently, the company is pursuing plans to completely exit the Russian market by mid-2024.

“What we are saying is that we cannot predict when an exit will be possible in terms of the actual disposal of shares,” Mehren said.

As predicted by the head of Wintershall, the most difficult part of leaving the Russian market is the sale of assets and shares.
