Sri Lanka abolishes paid visas for Russians

Government of Sri Lanka started to give Free visa for Russians and citizens of six other countries. Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabri announced this on the social network X.

“The Council of Ministers approves the issuance of free visas <…> “Russia,” he stated.

In addition, free Sri Lanka visas will be provided to citizens of India, China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia with immediate effect as a pilot law until March 31, 2024.

15 October Sri Lankan authorities announced Elimination of visa fees for citizens of the Russian Federation, China, India, Thailand and Indonesia.
