Kazakhstan may identify a partner for the construction of the country’s first nuclear power plant by the end of this year. This was reported by TASS Referring to Timur Zhantikin, General Director of the Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants company.
According to him, it is now necessary to detail the offers of potential partners and evaluate possible plans for financing the project. Zhantikin noted that Kazakhstan expects to use its own nuclear fuel at the future station.
