Lifecell shares owned by Fridman, Aven and Kosogov were arrested in Ukraine

A court in Ukraine has seized 100% of the shares of Lifecell, one of the country’s largest mobile operators, owned by Russian entrepreneurs Mikhail Fridman, Pyotr Aven and Andrey Kosogov. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication “Economic Truth”.

According to the publication, the registered capital of the shares arrested by the court was 13 billion hryvnia ($356 million). This is the largest asset seized in terms of value belonging to Fridman, Aven and Kosogov.

Last year, the number of Lifecell subscribers exceeded 10 million. According to this indicator, the company ranks third among mobile operators in Ukraine. Control of Lifecell was provided through the LetterOne company, which owned the shares of Turkcell İletişim Hizmetleri A.Ş., which also owned Lifecell.
