Mikhelson added that such a volume would cover all needs for additional gas supply. He explained that the capacity increase was due to the need for gasification of the Murmansk region.
Murmansk LNG is planned to receive electricity from the Kola Nuclear Power Plant, and gas will be transported from the facility by tankers. Novatek plans to use its own resource base for the project.
