Ukrenergo says Ukraine will not be able to accumulate coal reserves from the beginning of winter

Yuriy Boyko, a member of the supervisory board of the Ukrenergo company, said in an interview with the Ukrinform agency that Ukraine will not have time to accumulate the necessary 1.8 million tons of coal until winter.

According to him, the gap can be filled with imports from Poland and Kazakhstan.

But he refused to provide data on how much coal Ukraine currently accumulates.

Previously Ukraine ruled to collect Alexey Chernyshov, chairman of the board of directors of Ukraine’s NJSC Naftogaz, said that there are 15 billion cubic meters of gas needed for the heating season in gas storage facilities, and that the country has exceeded this figure.

According to him, gas tariffs for Ukrainians in the country will remain at the same level next winter. Chernyshov assured that there will be no increase in gas prices.

The chairman of the board noted that the heating season is planned to be carried out using only our own gas. Ukraine’s NJSC Naftogaz plans to pay taxes to the state budget at the level of 2.4 billion US dollars.

Before this, Ukrainian Naftogaz announced the discovery of a large gas field.
