Complete lifting of the ban on the export of oil products from Russia is possible only if the domestic market is completely saturated. This was reported by RIA News Referring to Pavel Sorokin, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy.

According to him, the decision to lift restrictions on the export of gasoline and diesel could be taken if the market is completely saturated with these goods. Sorokin noted that the ban has now only been partially lifted.

Let us recall that in Russia, starting from September 21, 2023, a complete ban on gasoline and diesel exports has been introduced in order to stabilize the domestic market and combat “gray” exports. Restrictions adjusted at the beginning of October: now allowed Export of diesel fuel to ports via pipelines to companies that supply at least 50% of the fuel produced to the domestic market. At the same time, the ban on gasoline exports and the supply of diesel by rail remains in place.

Riyadh had previously planned to meet with Washington to increase oil production.
